Nothing beats great food, warm weather, and cool vehicles. Just think about a juicy burger, a fresh milkshake, and lots of hot rods to drool over. Well, get ready for each of these food icons each night at 4pm.
On Monday, June 14th, find us at Foxy Drive-In on the corner of Thornton and 7th st. Foxy Drive-In has been an iconic go to restaurant in Clovis since 1956. Those early days had the original Ford Thunderbirds and ’57 Chevys lined up for their famous taquitos and sodas. Today, grandparents still bring their grandkids to sit in their car and all in the orders for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On Tuesday, June 15th, the drive-in tour moves to Taco Box on 21 street. Taco Box has been serving Clovis residents since 1969. It is a favorite fast food restaurant that is beloved by thousands of CHS students who ate more meals here than they can count. Taco Box is on New Mexico’s Green Chili Cheeseburger trail for their award winning burger, and if you haven’t tried their Monterrey Steak burrito, you’ve been missing out!
Wednesday, June 16th is reserved for Twin Cronnie located on Commerce Way. Twin Cronnie has been serving this hot dog in a hamburger bun stuffed with chili and cheese for decades. It’s a mess but it’s worth it! Their car hops will great you with a smile and then serve freshly made burgers, sandwiches and even a fantastic breakfast burrito any time of the day. Pull in and drive away stuffed but happy!
Thursday, June 17th, our Drive-In Tour finishes at Wienerschnitzel on Main Street. Looking for a Chicago Dog? A chili cheese dog? Or our famous Hailey’s special (fries covered in chili and cheese)? It’s all right here at Wienerschnitzel. Plus, these hot summer nights always call for ice cream – and they’ll swirl up a cone in no time.
